ABOUT THIS MODEL
Built straight out the box , with the added pilot
Throughout the 1990s, French Jaguars took part in several coalition actions, including the 1991 Gulf War, Bosnia in 1995 and Kosovo in 1999. In each conflict, the Jaguar demonstrated excellent mechanical reliability, though in the Gulf War dated avionics proved a hindrance, and British and French Jaguars were updated soon thereafter with GPS receivers, laser-designator systems, and other advancements.
In 2005, the Jaguar was retired from the Armee de l'Air and replaced by the Dassault Rafale.
Of course, the Jaguar also saw a long, distinguished career with the British Royal Air Force and continues to serve with export countries, particularly India. This kit, however, only covers the French Jaguar A, so if you're eager for a Jaguar S or Jaguar GR.1, you'll probably want to cool your heels for their inevitable release.
